Derek Kaye is a graduate of the cornell university school of hotel administration with a concentration in business. He became fascinated with the restaurant industry while working in his uncles manhattan restaurants through the years. During college he did internships at Town., Nobu London and Thomson Hotels doing everything from washing dishes to working the line in the kitchen. After college he started the eddies pizza truck with his wife in June in 2010. Seeing his passion for mobile food, he partnered with chef Marc Spitzer of Bond St to open Takumi Taco in April of 2012. Derek lives in New York City with his wife.
